The PAW Mission

Public Animal Welfare

Changing lives one PAW at a time

At The PAW Mission, our dream is to transform the lives of at-risk animals and the people who love them in underserved neighborhoods. Through compassionate care and innovative programs, we strive to create a future where pets and families thrive together throughout the Inland Empire.

Our approach is rooted in:

  • Subsidized Veterinary Care Offering affordable access to essential medical services, including spay/neuter and preventive care.
  • Humane Education Inspiring communities with knowledge to build a culture of kindness and respect for animals.
  • Community Building Strengthening neighborhoods through collaboration, empowerment, and shared compassion.

By listening to the voices of our community, we design programs that address real needs and make a lasting impact. Together, we’re changing lives—one PAW at a time.

Our Mission

The PAW Mission is a non-profit organization whose mission is to help decrease shelter euthanasia through affordable, accessible veterinary care, compassionate, innovative animal sheltering, and empathetic humane education.

The PAW Mission’s goal is to save the most at risk populations in animal shelters AND high risk groups of children, teens, and adults in underserved areas of San Bernardino County. Our mission is to provide a safe haven with activities, speakers, and educational opportunities to help community members and to aid aid animals in need by offering subsidized veterinary care, information on the different aspects of being a pet owner, and providing needed resources for families.

“We need, in a special way, to work twice as hard
to help people understand that the animals are
fellow creatures, that we must protect them
and love them as we love ourselves.”
